Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and maintaining business operations policies and procedures, including desktop-level procedures. This role is essential for ensuring that our operational documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible to all stakeholders. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive business operations policies and procedures, including desktop-level procedures. 

  • Collaborate with business units, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy. 

  • Create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that meets organizational standards and regulatory requirements. 

  • Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in business processes, technology, and regulations. 

  • Ensure consistency and standardization of documentation across all business units. 

  • Utilize various tools and software to create and manage documentation, including word processors, content management systems, and graphic design tools. 

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of documentation to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance. 

  • Provide training and support to staff on the use and interpretation of policies and procedures. 

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on business operations policies and procedures. 

  • Experience in the Healthcare Payer industry or US Health insurance business processes. 

  • Strong understanding of business operations and business process documentation. 

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. 

  • Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems. 

 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of desktop publishing and graphic design tools. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity. 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
