Supervisor - Revenue Cycle

Role Description: As the Team Leader revenue cycle, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Revenue Cycle in managing the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle team, ensuring efficient billing, coding, and collections processes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Team Supervision and Support:
- Lead a team of revenue cycle professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Ensure team members are properly trained and adhere to best practices and departmental policies.
- Billing and Coding Oversight:
- Supervise the billing and coding processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address coding errors or discrepancies.
- Collections Management:
- Monitor and manage the collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on unpaid claims.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve outstanding accounts receivable issues.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance procedures to maintain the highest level of accuracy in claims submission and coding.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and work to enhance overall efficiency.
- Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training and support to team members to keep them up-to-date on coding changes, regulatory updates, and industry trends.
- Assist in developing and maintaining training materials and resources.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of regular reports on team performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Cycle in analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster strong communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.
- Act as a liaison between the revenue cycle team and the Director of Revenue Cycle
Preferred Work Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a strong understanding of medical billing and coding.
Competencies & Skills
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a revenue cycle or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
- Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and healthcare information systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
