Description: 

Role Description: As the Team Leader revenue cycle, you will play a key role in supporting the Director of Revenue Cycle in managing the day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle team, ensuring efficient billing, coding, and collections processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision and Support:
  • Lead a team of revenue cycle professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure team members are properly trained and adhere to best practices and departmental policies.
  • Billing and Coding Oversight:
  • Supervise the billing and coding processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address coding errors or discrepancies.
  • Collections Management:
  • Monitor and manage the collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on unpaid claims.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve outstanding accounts receivable issues.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance procedures to maintain the highest level of accuracy in claims submission and coding.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and work to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Training and Development:
  • Provide ongoing training and support to team members to keep them up-to-date on coding changes, regulatory updates, and industry trends.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training materials and resources.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Assist in the preparation of regular reports on team performance, including key metrics and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Cycle in analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.
  • Act as a liaison between the revenue cycle team and the Director of Revenue Cycle

 

Preferred Work Experience

 

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, with a strong understanding of medical billing and coding.

 

Competencies & Skills

 

  • Proven leadership and team management experience in a revenue cycle or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and healthcare information systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
