Location: 100% Remote work

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM EST to 5:00PM EST - some extended hours when patching etc. is being performed

Salary: $70,000 to $75,000 per year, D.O.E.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient SFTP Administrator to manage, maintain, and enhance our file transfer infrastructure.  This role focuses on administering Automate and GoAnywhere MFT system, scripting automation, managing user access, and ensuring compliance with data retention and security policies.  The ideal candidate will also serve as a liaison between internal teams and external clients to ensure the timely execution of file-based projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SFTP System Administration:
    • Set up and maintain secure file transfer workflows using GoAnywhere MFT and Automate.
    • Create and manage user accounts, directory permissions, and connection profiles.
    • Conduct regular access reviews to ensure authorized user compliance.
  • Automation and scripting:
    • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate server-level tasks, including directory cleanup, file archiving, and retention policy enforcement.
    • Monitor automation jobs and troubleshoot failure or inefficiencies.
  • Audit & Security Compliance:
    • Implement and document audit procedures to monitor file activity and user access.
    • Ensure adherence to data security policies and industry best practices.
    • Coordinate with information security teams to manage external file transfer risks.
  • Project Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., IT, Security, Business Units) and external clients to gather requirements and deliver secure transfer solutions.
    • Track project deliverables and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Monitor & Reporting:
    • Monitor SFTP activity for failures, anomalies, and compliance issues.
    • Generate reports for management and audit use.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in SFTP administration or secure file transfer operations.
  • Hands-on experience with GoAnywhere MFT and Automate (HelpSystems) platforms.
  • Strong scripting experience in PowerShell for server-side automation.
  • Working knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS protocols.
  • Understanding of data retention and security policies in an enterprise environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and certificate-based authentication.
  • Experience with audit compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA).
