Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Healthcare Claims Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQL and Power Query, with a proven track record of analyzing healthcare claims data. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  1. Collect, analyze, and interpret healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  2. Use statistical tools and software to conduct in-depth data analysis.
  3. Develop and maintain SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources.
  4. Utilize Power Query to clean, transform, and aggregate data for reporting and analysis.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  6. Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making processes.

  8. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all analyses and reports.
  9. Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of data governance and data quality standards.
  11. Conduct ad-hoc analyses as required to support business needs.

 

  • Business Process Improvement:
  1. Evaluate current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and document new business processes.
  • Requirements Gathering and Documentation:
  1. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and requirements.
  2. Document business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases.
  3. Ensure that requirements are clear, concise, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Project Management:
  1. Manage and coordinate healthcare projects from inception to completion.
  2. Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  3. Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
  1. Serve as a liaison between business units, IT teams, and other stakeholders.
  2. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather and share information.
  3. Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders regularly.
  • Data Management and Governance:
  1. Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of healthcare data.
  2. Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.
  3. Maintain data documentation and metadata for easy reference and auditing.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience writing complex queries.
  • Extensive experience with Power Query for data transformation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims processing and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in SQL, data analysis, or related areas.
  • Experience with other data analysis tools and programming languages .
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
