Supervisor-Collections
Our supervisor provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives within our Healthcare Collections department. Supervisors monitor collection agents’ ability to meet productivity standards, efficiencies, and accuracy of all processes.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize and communicate performance data to enhance collector performance to meet monthly gross collection goal
- Conduct collector performance evaluations to provide employee coaching and development for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client standards, and federal and state laws.
- Lead, supervise and develop departmental teams
- Oversee and direct the daily activities of the phone agents (onsite and/or office)
- Coordinate client and agent account inventories and report daily/weekly to the Department Manager
- Prepare and conduct staff training
- Maintain time and attendance records for staff
- Problem solve operational issues.
- Delegation and inspection of workflows.
- Coordinate and/or assume responsibilities for employees during absenteeism, heavy workloads, etc.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
- Supervisory experience is required
- Experience with medical claims collections, billing and/or patient accounting processes is required
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with coworkers, staff and clients
- Ability to present oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Working knowledge of Personal Computers
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in fulfilling job responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment
- Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities
- MS Office program knowledge required
