Role & responsibilities
 
  • Collaborate closely with other engineers and technical managers to become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
  • Build data pipelines from core services and products into our analytics platform.
  • Evaluate and apply best practice techniques for warehouse management and optimization
  • Develop deployment and release of functionality through software integration to support devops and CI/CD pipelines
 
Preferred candidate profile
  • Required: Bachelors degree or relevant experience
  • Required: 8+ years of prior experience as a software engineer or data engineer in a fast-paced, technical, problem-solving environment
  • Required: Cloud Data Warehouse experience - Snowflake
  • Required: Expert in Advanced SQL
  • Required: Experience with data extraction tools (Fivetran, Airbyte, etc.)
  • Required: Expertise in Python
  • Required: Experience with version control tools - dbt and GitHub preferred
  • Required: Ability to communicate effectively and influence others
  • Required: Ability to work in a fast paced environment and shift gears quickly
  • Desired: Experience with event tracking software (Segment, Tealium, etc)
  • Desired: Data modeling best practices for transactional and analytical processing
