POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Data Analyst role in the Office of the CEO (OCEO) will assist the OCEO Leadership with identifying ways to improve processes and deliver better value to the business and customer using data. Data analysts are assigned to work on projects individually or as part of a team, for long or short periods of time depending on the requirements of the project and the specialized skills of the analysts involved.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Become familiar with operations, services, and products within the organization
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in simple and complex data sets for further investigation or corrective action
  • Utilize and interpret data to answer key questions and provide insights that benefit the organization’s enterprise
  • Effectively communicate key insights and findings to OCEO team
  • Create and maintain reports, graphics, and dashboards
  • Collaborates with OCEO staff (and other stakeholders) to thoroughly understand the needs to be supported by the dashboards
  • Identify ways to improve processes and discover and deliver better value to the organization using data
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function

 

 
 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail
  • Fluency with MS Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Demonstrated ability and fluency with data transformations and analyses
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with software and business intelligence tools (PowerBi, Alteryx, Tableau etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Results oriented
  • Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to establish and work in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Highly motivated, demonstrating a positive, can-do attitude
  • Be willing to take on new challenges and easily adapt to change

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - 

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration or Computer Science with an emphasis in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Management or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience is required.

 

 

 

Relevant Years of Experience Required:

 

  • 3-5 years of experience with data mining, modeling, visualization, and reporting.
