Job Summary
Team Lead is responsible for assisting the Department Manager or Supervisor. You will assist with employee training, answering employees’ questions, tracking time/attendance, while maintaining your own assigned workload.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the daily activities of the production staff for the team to which they are assigned
- Provide daily/weekly account reports to the Department Manager/Supervisor
- Prepare and conduct staff training as needed
- Maintain time and attendance records for staff
- Delegation and inspection of workflows
- Coordinate and/or assume responsibilities for employees during absenteeism, heavy workloads, etc.
- Meet goals and objectives as assigned by management
- Report and document employee disciplinary problems to the department manager
- Assist employees on their team with questions
- Direct the workflow for the team
- Requires 40 hours per week with possible overtime
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Medical insurance claims experience is required
- Supervisory experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Ability to always present oneself in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to stay on task with little or no management supervision
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in fulfilling job responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment
- Strong working knowledge of personal computers including Microsoft Office
