Account Representative

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Collection Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with customers regarding their accounts.

This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO- this is not remote.

Duties

• Manage and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments.
• Conduct account reconciliation to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Utilize knowledge of financial concepts to assess customer payment capabilities and negotiate payment plans.
• Process payments and update accounts receivable records accordingly.
• Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure accurate coding and processing of invoices.
• Handle medical billing inquiries, including understanding ICD-10 codes as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues related to their accounts.
• Participate in telemarketing efforts when necessary to promote payment options or services.
• Support revenue cycle management initiatives by providing insights on collection trends and customer feedback.

Skills

• Proficiency in account reconciliation and understanding of accounts receivable processes.
• Strong grasp of financial concepts, including revenue cycle management principles.
• Familiarity with medical billing practices and coding, particularly ICD-10.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Experience in telemarketing or similar roles is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts efficiently.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
