Software Engineer

•    Technical Skills in PICK Basic
o    In-depth knowledge of PICK Basic including syntax, commands, and structures specific to this language
o    A strong understanding of the MultiValue database environment specifically Universe and its architecture
o    Experience in using dynamic arrays and string manipulation, which are core components of PICK Basic
o    Familiarity with MultiValue querying languages like AQL or SQL-like queries for MultiValue databases.
o    Understanding of how to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize legacy applications developed in PICK Basic
o    Strong skills in debugging PICK Basic applications and CUBS-specific modules to identify and resolve system issues.

•    CUBS system specific skills
o    Hand-on experience with CUBS including its architecture, workflows, and functionalities.
o    Ability to customize the CUBS system based on business requirements, such as adding new features, workflows, or reports.
o    Ability to design, modify, and run reports within the CUBS system, utilizing PICK Basic for scripting and data extraction.
o    Experience in data migration, including extracting data from the CUBS system and converting it to modern formats or integrating with other enterprise applications.
o    Ensuring data integrity through proper validation checks, error handling, and reconciliation in the CUBS system

•    Project Management and Collaboration skills
o    Ability to modernize CUBS processes through enhancement of current functionality, the development of new capabilities, or the migration to new platforms.
o    Strong documentation skills for creating technical manuals, program specifications, and user guides.
o    Effective communication with non-technical stakeholders, to gather requirements and provide updates on system changes.
o    The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

•    Business Domain Knowledge
o    Familiarity with debt collection and accounts receivable processes to understand the business context of the CUBS system.
o    Knowledge of integrating CUBS with accounting and financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow, billing, and collections reporting

•    Soft Skills
o    High attention to detail when working with financial data and legacy code, ensuring accuracy and minimizing errors.
o    Ability to work closely with other technical teams, as well as end users, to ensure changes align with business goals and operational needs
